Warren made sure he enjoyed every moment of every day, and because he was such an extrovert had made many deep friendships that continued until the day he died. He invested unconditionally in people, both strangers and loved ones.
Warren was a true outdoors man, and enjoyed most the hunting trips with his Dad, followed by biltong (beef jerky) making sessions. He loved playing golf, fishing and riding his motorbike, particularly the bike runs into the country side.
The annual family holidays were always a firm favorite, particularly the ones to the Kruger National Park with the family or to Sabie River Sun with Poppa and Granny (Gigi), or to Villa Spa where he spent hours on the beach, or deep sea fishing with Dad. Anything that could be done outdoors …….
However, indoors, a beer in hand and the TV on was reserved only for watching the Liverpool game ….. and boy they just had to win …… “ You’ll never walk alone”.
After University Warren joined the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Medical Representative, and it was during this time that he met Bernice and a young Gabriella (Bella). Shortly after they were married Victoria (a mini Warren), was born. We enjoyed getting to know Bernice and our grand-daughters until ….. 2 years later they announced that they would be moving to Texas.
Being a very close family we were devastated by the news of them moving so far away …. Our noisy Sunday get togethers would be no more …. Thank goodness for Facebook Messenger calls, which we looked forward to every weekend.
Warren loved all of his family from near and far with all of his heart.(US, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Canada)
More importantly Warren loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and he had a zealous yearning to learn and know more about his faith and the Bible, and spent many hours on Facebook Messenger calls to his uncle Pastor Mike in New Zealand.
Then on Thursday, 10 February 2022, our lives changed forever, Warren died in a motorcycle accident on the Route 183 Freeway in Austin Texas.
Our Heavenly Father put his arms around Warren and lifted him to rest in a place beside him.
A funeral service for Warren will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
