William (Bill) Adkins William (Bill) Adkins died on February 26, 2008. His first thirteen years were spent in Kerrville. He loved the hill country and often said it was the most wonderful place in the world in which to spend a childhood. In 1957, his father purchased a business in Austin and moved to another special place. He graduated from McCallum High School and attended Texas State University. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a long-time employee of Adesa Auction, doing work he enjoyed, among people he loved and called his extended family. He is survived by sons Dennis Adkins and Wesley Adkins, grandson Corbin, his mother Frances Adkins, all of Austin. He will be buried in a private graveside service at Glen Rest Cemetery in Kerrville.
