William “Bill” Hoffa, 36, of Austin, TX. passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 1st, 2020. Bill was born in Rochester, MN. to Greg and Julie Hoffa, where he was raised and attended John Marshall Senior High School. He was actively involved in high school and loved playing basketball for John Marshall and traveling basketball leagues. Bill attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA. where he graduated in 2007 earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. During college, Bill began as an intern and later, upon graduation became an employee for IBM Rochester as a Firmware Engineer. It was in 2009 when Bill transferred to IBM Austin where he worked until his untimely passing.

Bill was a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend and coworker. His favorite job was being a dad to his children, whether playing with them or doing something silly to make them laugh. His kindness and thoughtfulness knew no bounds, always managing to make family and friends feel loved and cared for. He loved traveling back to Minnesota to visit family in Big Lake, and friends in Rochester. Bill enjoyed taking his boat out on Lake Austin, golfing, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and watching playoff basketball.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alexandria, three children, Victoria, Gregory and Liam of Austin, TX., mother, Julie Hoffa of Big Lake, MN, sister and brother-in-law Andrea and Ron Peck, niece, Addy Peck, and nephew, R.J. Peck of Big Lake, MN., and his two dogs, Jimmy and Brady. He was preceded in death by his father, Greg Hoffa.

A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2021 in Rochester, MN.
