William H Werner Jr.

William H. Werner Jr., born August 28, 1944, left this earth on December 20, 2011. He was born in Oswego, New York and raised in Jamestown, New York. Bill, or “Pops” as many knew him, retired from Symons as a Regional Sales Manager and spent almost 20 years in retirement enjoying time with family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Margaret, his sisters Virginia Werner Zimmer and Ann Christine Werner, Brother-in-Law Russell Zimmer and nephew Matthew Zimmer. Bill leaves behind two sons, Todd (Teresa) and Cory (Brooke), Austin, TX, his beautiful granddaughter Ava Werner, his sister Peggy Werner (Tony) Cosimano, Warwick, NY, and numerous nephews and nieces. Pops loved many things including cruising the lake on a sunny Texas afternoon in his boat, driving with his elbow hanging off the doorsill of a convertible, having fun with his family and friends and getting to see little Ava grow up. He will be missed very much, but he is in a better place. The family would like to thank the Heartland nursing staff and especially the Clairmont staff, where he spent the majority of his happy years in Austin in a vibrant retirement community.
