

Wilmot Roberdeau Horton, died January 26, 2006 in Austin, Texas. He was 55 years old. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 14, 1950. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Roberdeau Horton and father, Brig. Gen. John Coleman Horton. Wilmot was an Eagle Scout in Troop 5, Austin, a graduate of Austin High School and The University of Texas at Austin and attended the Swope School in Hawaii. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity at Texas, the Sons of the American Revolution, the English Speaking Union, and a life member of Texas Exs. He was a member of the Headliners Club, Tarry House, The Argyle, and the Metropolitan Club in New York City. He is survived by his wife, Quincy Leeanna Horton; brother, John Horton and his wife Nancy; nephews, Coleman Horton and Perry Horton; and his beloved friends, Mary Lou and Bennie Downing. Wilmot had a passion for Austin history and West Austin. He was whimsical in nature and young at heart. Wilmot and Quincy loved traveling around the world. He was her greatest love. The family would like to thank the wonderful and loving staff at Seton Medical Center ICU. Wilmot had an outstanding team of doctors including Dr. Michael Watkins, Dr. Jack Bissett and Dr. Jordan Weingarten.
