

She graduated from Hopewell High School and attended Houston Tiliotson College for one year.
She was united in marriage to Vernon Williams for 63 years. Zeola and her husband Vernon Williams were among the first families to be baptized in the first Church of Christ in the black community of Austin, Texas. She is the last surviving pioneer adult member of the original East Side Church of Christ at East 14 1/2 Street.
Zeola is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, a brother, one son, two granddaughters, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. Left to cherish her memory are her four sons; Raleigh Williams of Jasper, Texas; Kenneth T. Williams, James W. Williams, Michael D. Williams, one daughter, Betty L. More, all of Austin, Texas. Other cherished daughters include Agnes Williams and Dorothy Casey of Austin, Texas, eight grandsons, two granddaughters, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, located at 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas, 78752. A Home Going Celebration will be on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of Christ at East Side, located at 5701 East Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Austin, Texas, 78721. An Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35 in Pflugerville, Texas, 78660.
