1931-2021
We regret to announce the passing of our dear Mother Louise Perrier (nee Peters) on Thursday, May 13th at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her the loving husband Roger, whom she shared a life with for close to sixty wonderful years. She is survived by her beloved brother Don (Margaret)
Louise will be deeply missed by her children Karyn (Daniel), Robert (Donna) and Daniel (Wenyu). Also left to mourn are her cherished grandchildren Dave (Danielle), Mark (Anna), Nicholas, Edric; and her great-grandchildren Cody, Cole, Mackenzie, Olivia and Jahaziel.
Louise’s career was spent doing what she loved best, helping others. For several years, she provided one-on-one care to many individuals at various long term care homes. The women and men Louise cared for became like family to her; she always looked forward to seeing them every day.
She always enjoyed her crafting. Her knitting was exceptional, so much so, she was approached by Canada’s Four Corners Souvenir Store on Sparks Street in Ottawa to sell her sweaters in their shop.
Louise was an active woman who loved golfing and shuffleboard. She also loved to challenge her mind daily with the newspaper’s Word Jumble. It was always a race between her and her husband to see who could complete it first. Another one of her passions was playing Bridge. She belonged to a Bridge club for many years. She was very social and had many good friends in the bridge club.
Everyone that knew her would say Louise was gentle, caring, and always a lady. Her children described her as an amazing mother who was as beautiful inside as she was out. She will be missed more than words can describe.
A funeral for Louise will take place at 11am on August 20th, 2021 at St. Mark’s Parish in Aylmer, Quebec; followed by a burial at St. Paul's Cemetery and a light lunch at The British Hotel( 71 rue Principale, Aylmer).
