Peter W. Gendron 1946-2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peter Gendron at the age of 74. He is predeceased by his dear parents Roméo Gendron and Brenda Lucas; as well as his brothers Vincent and Andrew.

Peter is survived by his cherished wife Claudia Lance. Also left to mourn are his beloved children Steven (Morgan), Shane, Dana, and Charles; and his brothers and sisters Patrick (Monique), Michael (Suzanne), Francine (Tony), and Margaret Rose (John); as well as his sister-in-law Simonne.

He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Peter had many passions, but his favourite was hunting for buck deers and moose. He also loved working as a volunteer firefighter.

Throughout his work life, he was a dedicated police officer, construction worker, driver and employee with the Government of Canada. He will be remembered with fondness by the many colleagues he worked with over the years.

The family would like to thank the devoted staff at Maison Mathieu Froment Savoie for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to this wonderful organization.(

A funeral will take place at St. Mark’s Church in Aylmer on Friday July 9th at 11am; followed by a burial at St. Paul’s Cemetery on Chemin d’Aylmer.

Please accept our sincere and heartfelt sympathies at this sad time.
Pete was always so outgoing and it was such fun to have conversations with him when we’d run into each other! We had the pleasure of attending the beautiful wedding of Pete and Claudia many years ago. May his memory be a blessing and the stories you share about Pete bring comfort and peace. Dear Claudia, Shane and Steven,
Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Peter has been a trusted neighbour for many years and we were saddened to hear of the news of his passing. He was an animated storyteller, whenever he would recount stories of situations he had encountered at work, during past travels or about older generation regarding his family.
He was always receptive to having a chit-chat in the yard and being of service. His hearty laugh was matched to him having a good sense of humour.
The loss of a loved one is never easy, but know we are with you through your grief.
Sincerely, Joelle, Victor and Gilberte

To Peter's family.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Peter. Living on Centre Street with all of his family was like our own family. We all laughed together and cried together, played ball and kick the can. He will be missed. RIP Peter
