Sincere condolences to Shane's friends, to Tina and her family, and to my cousin Jeff, his wife Liz, and their families.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shane a few times over the past decade on occasions where the extended Connolly clan would get together. Inevitably, given some of the folks involved, music would come up in the discussions, and Shane's love of it was more than evident. I'm sure I said "Dude - you rock!" to him at least once, and yes, in a way I was just another old guy trying to be funny, but the sentiment was genuinely true.  

Melodies and memories (yes, I "borrowed" that) - one can often suggest the other. A song can take you back to a place in time, and a memory can summon up a familiar tune. They each can draw out any of the full range of emotions, but more often than not, they bring a fondness and a smile.

When I think of Shane, I'll be thinking of music, and vice versa - and I'll be smiling. 

Shane - dude, you rock.

I’m deeply saddened by your loss, but i know it’s incomparable to the pain you’re feeling right now. I Didn't know Shane very well, but every time I've had a chance to speak with him I discovered a beautiful soul hidden by shyness. It was a pleasure to work with him, it's sad to see him be gone so soon. My sincere condolences to all of you.

Shane was a good kid that had a big heart and you all did a great job of raising him. 
His musical taste; well done with that! I am so happy to think back on a few concerts that young Shane attended with us. I will cherish those memories forever.

Dear Tina & Family,
     Sending healing prayers and hugs from our family to yours.  An unexpected death like this is so hard to wrap your head and heart around.  I will always smile to myself when I think about the day Shane told us we were middle aged women.  Before that day, I still thought we were spring chickens with loads of experience.  He was a nice boy.  God bless you & your family during this challenging and difficult time.    
     

We we're actually roomates at one time, and he was an absolute treasure to be around. He always had a joke up his sleeve and when you got him laughing hard enough, he would sometimes cry... He made a meme about me returning to adult ed and I still have it saved to my phone. Shane will forever stay in my heart, and I hope I can one day be half the big guy he was!
