Adam joined the U.S. Navy in 1999 at the age of 17 upon graduation from Midwood H.S. in Brooklyn, NY. At this point Adam's travels around the world began. He was stationed in Naples, Italy, moved to Malta upon completing his four years with the Navy, and then began his work as a Global Response Staff (GRS) Security Officer working for the U.S. government until the time of his death. His work assignments took him to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries in the Middle East. His travels for pleasure took him to every continent. Questions on Adam's well being were always two-fold - "How is Adam? Where is Adam?" Sometimes the answers to both questions were unknown until Adam would reply to an email "All's well."
In recent years Adam considered settling down in Medellin, Colombia. There he met Maylen Victoria Vargas Suarez. In October 2018 they became parents of Niccolo Rapino Vargas.
Adam is survived by his son, Nico; his mother Paula Magdalena Vidal (Louis) and his father Paul Rapino; his brother Chris Raso, his step-brothers Richard Vidal (Naomi), Michael Vidal (Emily) and Christopher Vidal; his grandfather Joseph Magdalena (the late Stella), his grandmother Claire Rapino (the late Donald), his uncle Joseph Magdalena III (Marguerite) and countless comrades around the globe.
