Alberta V. Reichling (nee Brown), 96, of West Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William C., and her son, William A. She was the devoted mother of Deborah K. Goodwin and dear mother-in-law of William Goodwin and Linda Reichling. She was also the adored grandmother of Jimmy, Cindy (Jon), Becky (JoAnn), Teri (Michael), and Ryan (JP), as well as the cherished great-grandmother of Amelia, William, Eva, and Mikayla. Alberta was a matriarch and glue that held her family together. As the fearless leader of the Reichling family, her late husband would often joke , "OK Moses, get in line behind Alberta." Throughout her long and extraordinary life, she filled her years with devotion to her family and a deep religious faith. A long-time member of Cross Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon, she also founded its "Prime Timers" group. as well as her many hobbies which included golfing, travel, boating, dancing, painting, fishing, and going on many early morning adventures. In addition to being a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Alberta created the group Prime Timers, and the Nissequogue and Bellport Country Clubs. During her long and eventful life, Alberta's greatest legacy that she leaves behind is her family. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched.
