With broken hearts and profound love, we share the passing of our beloved Alice, a woman whose warmth, laughter, and joy made the world a gentler, brighter place. She passed peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, love, and the unshakable imprint of her beautiful spirit.
She was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome — a true light in this world. Her joy was infectious, her smile unforgettable, and her love for others immeasurable. She was beautiful inside and out — a woman who gave of herself freely and fully, always putting family and friends before anything else.
She shared an extraordinary 53-year journey of love and partnership with her husband and soulmate, Augie. They met in 1972, married in 1977, and built a life filled with laughter, quiet moments, and deep devotion. Theirs was a once-in-a-lifetime love — steadfast, genuine, and inspiring.
She was a loving and proud mother to her son Keith Cruz and daughter-in-law Angelique, and a cherished grandmother to Kyle, Daniel, and Ariana. She held her godson Matthew close to her heart. Family meant everything to her — and her love for them was fierce, unconditional, and unwavering.
Her life was full of simple, meaningful joys: tending to her garden, loving every animal she met, sharing laughter during casino visits, and “treasure hunting” at tag sales with her sister. She found beauty in everyday moments and shared it with everyone around her.
Alice is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, sister, and brothers. We imagine them embracing her with open arms — laughing, whole, and at peace.
We will miss her hugs, her voice, her stories, and her beautiful spirit — the way she made life feel safer, kinder, and more full of love. Though our hearts are heavy, her love lives on in every flower that blooms, every act of kindness, and every life she touched.
She was, and always will be, our treasure.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Alice's memory to the Babylon Animal Shelter.
