I met Brendan many years ago as a young boy. He was a good friend of my nephew, Sean Gillespie. As they got older my nephew became interested in the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. When they were old enough to tagalong with me I took Sean with me all the time. Later on as young adults I took Brendan on a few hunt together with my nephew Sean. Brendan was such a pleasure to have along. Such a funny guy! After the passing of my nephew Sean, I still enjoyed a few hunts with Brendan and took him hunting with my sons a few times. My boys got such a kick out of him. He would have us rolling and laughing till tears ran down our faces. I am so saddened by this tragic loss of such a young man. When we would spend time together he always talked about how lucky he felt to have such a beautiful family of his own. How much he loved his two girls. My condolence go out to his family and his friends. I know he’ll he will be sorely missed,my heart goes out to you all. Rest in peace Brendan and may the woods and waters be filled with your presence. Love “uncle“ Charles

I remember Brendan when he was a child. I went to school with his sister Kristen and she was so fond of him. I remember his kindness at the age of five when some bullies were throwing spitballs at me and my sister and he helped us to seek refuge. My condolences go to his wife Diane whom I have also known as a child and to his parents, Ronald and Kathleen, his sister Kristen and his lovely daughters Brianna & Chloe. Thoughts and prayer are with your family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Brendan!!!

We have so many memories and great times with Brendan. He was a funny guy even when he was a child. He came to visit us when we lived in Utah. I think he was maybe 10, anyway, we went on a camping trip up in the mountains with Bill, my mom and our kids. When night rolled around we sat by the camp fire and told stories and most of his were hysterical. When it was time to go to bed, Brendan refused. He told us he would never sleep in the tent and said he wanted to sleep in the van with my Mom. We started to laugh and asked him why and he turned around and said “I’m a city boy. I’d like to see you pitch a tent in Harlem and go to sleep!” We all busted out in laughter.
That is one of many funny stories with him. We’ll never forget that one!

I was blessed enough to be a part of Brendan's life for over 30 years. Over that span we became closer and closer and I consider him a brother. He lived for his wife, children and family. He referred to his girls as Angels and a blessing from heaven which they are. My deepest condolences and heart felt sympathies go out to the entire Becci family during this difficult time. We will always keep Brendan in our hearts and prayers. Love Jimmy and Melissa Passanante

I'm so sorry for your loss. Brendan was our schoolmate and Diane is as well. Here, Brendan is carrying the flag in for a ceremony. I think this was First Grade. My dad created this album a month ago. As I was flipping through it, I found this gem. The peaceful sunlight over Brendan's shoulder is stunning.
