
Born on August 6, 1953, in Amityville, New York, Calvin lived a life defined by devotion, service, strength, and love. He was the beloved husband of Pierina Anderson, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. The two met through family and built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Calvin proudly served in the United States Army and was a retired veteran after 13 years of service. Following his military career, he continued working for the US government as an immigration and law enforcement officer. He was brave, hardworking, honest, generous, kind-hearted, patient, and deeply devoted to those he loved.
Calvin will be remembered as someone who was fun and a kid at heart. He enjoyed playing computer games/games on his phone, watching sports, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and he found great joy in being with them.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Pierina Anderson; his children, Danielle Outlaw and her husband Eric, Alexandria Apuzzo and her husband Michael, Michael Anderson and his wife Laura, and Calvin R. Anderson III and his wife Amy. He was the cherished grandfather of Elijah, Dominic, Isabella and Nia-Maya. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Jessica, William, and Barbara.
Calvin was predeceased by his sister, Linda Miller, and his parents, Calvin R Anderson Sr and Lillian Lutterloh.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. A prayer service will also be held on Wednesday, May 6, with the time to be determined. A committal service will take place on Thursday, May 7, at Calverton National Cemetery, where Calvin will be honored for his service with Army honors.
