Carol J. Johnston

Mrs. Johnston was a life-long resident of Queens. She met her beloved late husband, Stanley V. Johnston, Jr., after he had returned from military service. They courted and married, and raised their children in Queens.

In her years of work, she was a Secretary for a private attorney. Her love was her family, and spending time with her friends.

She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley; and her sisters, Betty Babcock and Lillian Gow. Surviving are her children - her son, Bob and daughter-in-law, Patricia; and her daughter, Jeanne Kaible and son-in-law, Jay; her grandchildren - Bryan, Lauren and Julia; and her brother, William Redrow and sister-in-law, Arlene. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. On Wednesday evening, Mother Claire of Christ Episcopal Church will have a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be offered at the church, on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
