Dennis Michael Hasselmann

Dennis Michael Hasselmann, 81, of Deer Park, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Beloved husband of 57 years of Kathleen (nee McGovern). Devoted father of Kerry Ucci and Heather Merck. Loving father-in-law of Rob Ucci and Kevin Merck. Dear step-grandfather of Kathryn Merck and William Merck. Also survived by his grand-dog, Carly. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas William Hasselmann and Ann (Murphy) Hasselmann, his brothers, Thomas (Louise) and Paul (Veronica), his brother-in-law, Michael Carr (Joanne), and his sisters-in-law Christine Stahman (Frederick) and Eileen Jackson-Houlihan (James). Before his retirement, Dennis was a meat cutter at Pathmark in Bay Shore for over 30 years. He loved cruising, going out in his RV, and taking many trips to the beach. Dennis will be forever remembered for always being ready to share a great story, sometimes more than once, and always armed with a dad joke or pun to accentuate his point. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 48 W.
