

Elise was born September 30, 1948 in Paris, Tennessee to Mary Louise Hopper Davis and Lawrence Robe Miller.
Elise is survived by; son Bryan Howard; and daughter Hillary Hulteen-Walsh (Jack Walsh); stepfather James Curtis Davis; brother Randy Davis, brother Jeff Davis, brother Glenn Davis, brother Gary Davis and sister Melinda Martin; granddaughter Meghan Howard, grandson Sean Howard, granddaughter Jordyn Walsh, grandson Kyle Walsh and grandson Tyler Walsh.
Elise was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Elise was filled with empathy toward everyone she met. Her kind and thoughtful demeanor made her a wonderful friend for all who knew her.
From the time she was born, Elise showed a deep concern for others. She was a giving and caring person, empathetic and inspired to help others with great compassion.
She could be quiet and reserved, but always provided support to those she loved. She seemed to have an endless supply of inventive ideas to help those around her, she approached all situations with great love and devotion for her family and friends.
Her parents James Curtis & Mary Louise Davis. Elise was raised in Tennessee and California. She was raised in a big southern family of seven children. As the elder sister, she cared deeply for all her siblings. Family was everything to Elise, she was extremely involved in her family, and was very devoted to each family member, she loved her family with great conviction.
Elise was a dedicated mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Aunt.
Elise had a special bond with her mother Mary, they were the best of friends. Elise and Mary enjoyed lots of shopping, cooking, planning, and hosting family events together. Later in Elise’s life when the time was necessary, she became the primary caregiver of both her elderly parents.
All who knew her would agree that there was a certain kind of magic in how Elise was able to bond with all children. Elise was blessed with two children, Bryan & Hillary and with 5 Grandchildren, Meghan, Sean, Jordyn, Kyle & Tyler. She was a wonderful aunt to all her niece and nephews and took great pleasure in caring for them and being part of their families.
Elise was the type of person, that you could be silly with, just have fun, laugh and play with. She had a smiling personality and always made people feel loved. She was accepting and tried to always have an open mind. You could cry on her shoulder and tell her all of your troubles, she would listen and try to offer a different perspective and unbiased advice.
Though she could be a private person at times, Elise was always able and willing to give of herself always. She took family and friends into great consideration in all things she did, she would ensure that everyone was attended to. She was a person who was original in her thinking, she would figure ingenious solutions to any problem, and worked very hard to make things happen for others. Elise could be a perfectionist at times, but was not one to seek out personal recognition. She would ensure every detail was accounted for and tried to make sure everyone felt welcome and loved.
Elise loved to Travel, whether far away countries or throughout America. Elise started her travels when she was young a TWA Hostess, then as a Military wife she continued her love of travel with her family. She was a bit of a wanderer, always taking the unnamed road. She was never was lost just always charting a new path. She would seek to find a road that led you to a new experience and was always willing to try and explore new things.
Elise loved loved loved to shop. She always quested for the perfect find and at a good value, she also enjoyed spending time in the garden, going to the beach, theme parks, long scenic drives with the opportunity for shopping or stopping at a little cafe or trinket store along the route made her smile with great pleasure. If you went shopping with Elise, she did not shop for her, she shopped for you and all of her family.
Elise was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. She loved her dogs Bitsy and Puppa who now both reside with her children Bryan & Hillary and their families. Ironically, they each enjoy the daily reminder of their mom through her presence in her favorite furry babies.
Elise you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, and most of all loving us. You will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
