Elsie is my hero of the faith. Her counsel throughout the years continues to live vibrantly in my heart. She was steadfast in her faith in the truths of the Bible and happy to share her learning.

Elsie and Paul's cooking and flawless hospitality are legendary! Each step in preparing and presenting each meal was literally timed to the minute and served with perfection. What a team!

When I first knew Elsie, I was a bit intimidated by her efficiency, but in no time became aware of her love for sports, practicality, and wicked sense of humor. It frustrated Elsie that I remained a single woman -- her matchmaking attempts failing miserably, but giving us both endless chuckles!

Elsie's love for her beloved Paul, her girls Deb, Jen, and Becky, and her grandchildren demonstrated loyalty, support, and respect in a real and everyday way.

A life well done, faithful servant and friend!

My dear friend, confidant, and mentor Elsie was always there to support and encourage me. Remembering the time we roomed together when on an Elder Retreat with First Presby and how we got to giggling into the wee hours of the morning over something non-nonsensical. God blessed me with her friendship.
