

Frederick J. Ansman, of West Islip, New York, passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 66. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Fred had the remarkable ability to light up any room with his infectious humor and captivating stories. Whether with a quick joke or a heartfelt tale, he could make anyone laugh, bringing joy and warmth wherever he went.
Above all, Fred was a devoted and loving father. His daughters, Kate and Mary, were the pride of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. His love for his family extended to his wife, Patty, and his siblings, Lorraine and Robert, all of whom he held dear. His generous spirit and heart of gold touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and he was a friend to many.
Fred's passing leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be forever remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
Visitation services will be held at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, located at 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Islip, NY. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Fred’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
