Garry J. Mowbray

Garry J. Mowbray, 69, of West Babylon, formerly of Bay Shore, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, February 13, 2026. Ex-Captain West Babylon Fire Department. Beloved husband of 49 years of Debbie Mowbray (nee Schneider). Devoted father of Christine Manzi and her husband, John, and Garry Mowbray, Jr., and his wife, Jillian. Adored Pop-Pop of Michael, Wyatt, Carter, Emily, and Bennett. Cherished brother of George, Marion, Patricia, Wendy, Linda, and Danny. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Marjorie (Conklin) Mowbray, and his brother, Frank Mowbray, Jr. In addition to his tireless dedication to the West Babylon Fire Department, Garry was the Head Custodian at Western Suffolk BOCES before his retirement. He loved fishing with his son on the Great South Bay, tending to his fish tank, but above all, he relished being the Pop-Pop of his five grandchildren. Garry will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm & 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Funeral mass Thursday, February 19, 2026, Our Lady of Grace RC Church, 666 Albin Avenue, West Babylon.
