I met GJ when he was 4 yrs old. His  family and my family shared many celebrations, holidays, first (everything) together. Since I had an only child and GJ was an only child, my daughter and GJ were like siblings. I remember how kind and smart GJ was as a child and as an adult. He was one of the most generous people I have ever met. Always willing to help others and never asking for anything in return. He had a beautiful spirit and I know he is now one of the guardian angels that will watch over his family and friends. Miss you GJ and your sweet easy smile. We had only met a couple of times, but one of my fondest memories was when GJ and I were ring bearer and flower girl for my Aunt and Uncle's wedding.  He got a little stage fright when it was our turn to make our way down the aisle and he saw everyone watching us, I ended up having to tug him along as he tried to hide behind me.  We then had fun hanging out at the reception afterwards, maybe getting up to a bit of mischief at the head table :)

Rest in peace GJ, thank you for the sweet memories, they'll be forever cherished.

GJ was very special to our family and we shared many wonderful memories. From growing up on McFarlin Dr, attending concerts, ziti nights at Ann and George’s, and visits at Salisbury, GJ was a key piece in our lives! We will always cherish our friendship.

We are so saddened by his loss but we know he’s in a better place and at peace. We send our love and condolences to Ann and George and all his family!

The true GJ that we knew was one of the kindest human beings that we have ever known!  He was a neighbor and a great friend.  When our daughters were going to college, he helped them get acquainted with the schools that they were considering, and acted like a big brother to them.  He was such a good human being, and so brilliant! 
GJ, I am sure that now that you are in God’s Love, your true light is shining so bright! 🌠

GJ, what a warm and generous guy.  When he was young I would take him and my son, Matt,  out to various places in the area, ball games, movies, eating, etc.  We always had a great time.  We would sometimes get home late and mom was always waiting for him  
by the window.   This was way before cell phones.
As he got older, he would always stop in to say hello when he was in the area.  We enjoyed seeing him as much as he seemed to like stopping in to see us.  He was always an important part of our family and the McFarlin Drive community.  
To GJ, rest in peace and thanks for the memories.  To Ann and George, our deepest sympathy.  Fred and Barb Baughman and family.

When I first met George, I was impressed by his leadership, popularity, and his service to others. While engaging in Bible study together, I learned that he had a true calling to help others and positively affected many people. He also had a strong faith in God and was eager to put his faith into purposeful action. I will always treasure those memories of reading, reflecting, and discussing faith with George. I'm sure he's in a better place. 

George knew how to make a party a party. I remember when he wore the Santa suit to Gary’s holiday party and led the social at my apartment. He was always tender and loving. He will be incredibly missed. 

George was always there when I needed him.  Whether it was to take me away from a crowd (seeing my social anxiety), on 355 with a canister of gas because my car broke down or just hanging out he made sure you knew he genuinely cared.  Life happened and we slowly spent less time together in person but he was always there to respond to text, Facebook… George was always there for me and his wise words and caring heart will always be remembered. You are missed!

We have a lot of wonderful memories of George and his parents. Enjoyed watching these group of boys grow up in our neighborhood. The Fondest memory I have when I caught my son skipping school with George and the other boys. George busted out laughing watching Martin explain why he wasn’t in school on senior skip day, he was a junior. George  will be missed and gone to soon. 😢

George was a great friend to me.   While I was battling a driving phobia he would drive me to get togethers with friends regardless if it is not on a direct route.   Several years ago I had a bad experience at the Renaissance Festival.   He and his girlfriend at that time were nice enough to invite me to tag along to this event a couple of years ago.    I ended up having a good time and there was no repeat of the bad experience I had several years ago.  Finally, I remember George being a passionate Capitals fan.  I am glad that he got to see them win a Stanley Cup.

George and I participated in Bible study together. He had a strong faith in God and felt called to help others. I will treasure those memories and I have no doubt that George is in a better place. 

George was a true friend in every way. He was kind, caring and a great listener. He helped me on my journey during difficult days. I pray he is safe and at peace. I will miss him always and will cherish our friendship. Rest easy, George. Thank you for your friendship. Love, Nina 

George was one of my closest friends for many years, and a critical support to me in some very dark times. May his memory be a blessing.
