Gerard "Jerry" J. Gusmano, 91, of Washington, Michigan, formerly of Babylon, New York entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Antoinette "Toni" in 2013, and his loving daughter, Darlene Hubbard, in 2022. Devoted father of Debra Hickey, Gerard "Jerry", and Donna LoCascio. Dear father-in-law of Michael Hickey, Candace, and Paul LoCascio. Adored grandfather of Daniel Hickey (Jami), Michael Hickey (Betsy), David Hickey, Sarah Hickey, Christopher Hubbard, Derek Hubbard, Jeremy (Rachel), Joshua, and Julie. Cherished great-grandfather of Jack Hickey, Reagan Hickey, Avery Hickey, Nora Hickey, and Kate Hickey. Loving brother of Anthony, Gloria Di Maio, Linda LoCascio, Richard, Frances Marchese, John, the late Paul, the late Joseph, the late Franklin, and the late Benita Delgenio. Jerry was a Master Craftsman and a general contractor, retiring from Trim Masters, Inc. on Long Island. He was a woodworking enthusiast, who also loved fishing, playing horseshoes, and gatherings with friends and family around the table. While Jerry was a die-hard NY Mets fan, he was most passionate about his love for The Lord and serving him through his service to others teaching Sunday school, taking part in church leadership, and being a mentor to young boys in the Boys Brigade. Using his God-given talents in woodworking, Jerry put his expertise to work in the expansions made to his place of worship, Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle, in Smithtown, NY. A life dedicated to his family, Jerry went home to The Lord in the same way that he lived, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Jerry will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. The Gusmano family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Friday, July 7, 2023, 10 am-1 pm. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
