Harold W. Wissing

Harold W. Wissing, age 90, of West Babylon, New York, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia, and together they built a life filled with family, laughter, and many treasured memories.

He was the proud father of Robert Wissing (Dianne), Deborah Yalango (the late Daniel), Gerard Wissing (Laura), John Wissing (Patti), James Wissing, and Jeanine Wissing, and the loving father of the late Carolyn. Harold’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Kara, Jack, Daniel, Lauren, Gerard Jr., Dane, Collin, Elyse, Brian, Kiera, Beth, and Mason, who affectionately knew him as “Pop.” He was also a devoted great-grandfather to Madison, Cameron, Ella, Austin, and Jaxson.

Harold had many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He loved going to the track to watch horse racing and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. A talented carpenter, Harold could fix just about anything, earning him the nickname “Harry the Hammer” among family and friends. He also loved traveling with Patricia, especially their many memorable trips to Aruba.

Harold will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Avenue, West Islip, NY 11795. Private cremation to follow.

Harold’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on through his family for generations to come.
