Jim Batridge - 
I worked for Jim for  5 - 6 years in the late 80's and early 90's and thinking of Jim brings so many images - bold, daring, adventurous, mischievious and funny. But other qualities standout -honest, caring, supportive, encouraging, generous.

He commuted and worked long and hard hours during the week but was firm that the weekend was for the most important priority - his family (including the dog Buster). 

Jim will remain in my prayers and it should be noted that he entered heaven on the feast of St. James the Apostle which is more than coincidental.

Jim, I miss you very much. We shared a love for beagles and I always enjoyed our chats. You always made me feel good about my work at Maspeth Federal. You always liked to "shake it up" at the bank and I loved working with you. Thanks for the memories and the candy!! I admired your love of life and I hope that your family and friends can find comfort in the beautiful memories that you have left behind.

There are no words to express my sympathy for your loss.  Jim was a very special person.  I will miss his generosity ("thanks for the candy Santa!"); his never being too busy to have a word; and his joie de vivre.  He will be sorely missed.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My family grieves along with yours as we have lost one of the truly great ones.  I consider myself very fortunate to have come to know Capt'n. Jim.  For many years I had the distinct pleasure of working with him.  I will never forget all of the priceless advice and counsel he has given me over the years.  He became more than a mentor in the technology field and for me, in life matters, a fatherly figure who always knew what to say and had my best interest at heart.  I will miss the many heart to heart talks we had over the years and his sense of humor.  My wife and children also had the pleasure of spending time with him and we reflect fondly on that time.
We extend our sincerest condolences to your family at the loss of our dear friend.  He always told me, "Keep your head down and stay out of trouble", good advice.  Fair winds and following seas, Capt'n., we'll miss you.

In loving memory of Uncle Jim, his greatgrandniece Aitana, 9 months, has become the newest member of The Nature Conservancy. We will pass on his joy for life and some insanely funny stories. Besos and hugs to the ones he leaves behind.

Jim Batridge was one of my closest friends and associates. I had the pleasure of working with him and his skills in the Information Technology sector were top-notch and I've learned a great deal about the field and it's history from him. To all he worked with, Jim was a supportive and giving person who always thought of others before himself. People of his character and intelligence are far and few in this world.

Outside of business, he also spoke of his wife, children and grandchildren often with me and had great pride in the people they were and that unconditional love of others will be missed in a world that needs these qualities more now than ever. Rest in peace Jim and I hope you have the peace you deserve and that your family also finds peace in this unfortunate hour.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss.  The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
