Jane Elizabeth Cavuoto

Jane Elizabeth Cavuoto (nee Hafner), 83, of Dix Hills, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Beloved wife of 59 years of Dr. Joseph W. Cavuoto. Devoted mother of Julie O'Mara, Jonathan Cavuoto, and Jillian Lenz. Dear mother-in-law of Sean O'Mara, James Lenz, and Carley Adams. Adored grandmother of Katie, Maverick-Jane, and Eden. Cherished sister of Emil Hafner. Predeceased by her parents, Emil and Marion (Farley) Hafner. Before her retirement, Jane was a educator in the East Meadow School District on the elementary level. She was an avid reader, and relished traveling with her husband and going to the beach. Forever remembered as an outstanding cook, Jane's family and friends loved sitting around her table as she shared her wonderful stories, sending the room into fits of laughter at her incredible wit, all the while as they enjoyed her delicious meals. Always making cherished memories with her adoring family and friends, Jane will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R.
