With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Borgela, a man whose quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and deep love for his family defined the beautiful life he lived. Jean passed away surrounded by those who loved him most, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and faith.
Jean was the beloved husband of Vilia Borgela, his partner in life and love for 43 years. Together, they built a home filled with compassion, laughter, and enduring commitment. Their union was blessed with six children: Natacha Borgela-Augustin, Onal Borgella, Brunel Borgela, Jean D. Borgela, Charlemagne Borgela, and Valencia Borgela. Jean was incredibly proud of his children, each of whom carries forward his values of hard work, kindness, and resilience.
As a grandfather, Jean's heart was full. He cherished his grandchildren— Abinaya, Begy, Pamela, Claire Naisha, Eden E., Christian H., Chrisly J., Kye, Drue, Kareem, and Keyrah L.—with the same steady love and guidance that he gave to everyone he held dear. He found immense joy in watching them grow, thrive, and continue the legacy of the Borgela family.
Jean was a brother to Elmancito Borgella, Elifet Borgella, Josephe Borgella, and Nathiomme Borgela, and he deeply loved and honored the memory of his late siblings: Marie Helene B. Senat, Dorica Borgella, and Marie E. Borgella. His sense of family was the foundation of his life, and he remained a source of support and wisdom for all who knew him.
He lived with quiet dignity, humility, and strength. Whether through his hard work, his warm spirit, or his gentle presence, Jean touched the lives of many. He found joy in life’s simple moments and was the kind of man whose impact will be felt for generations.
Though we mourn his loss, we give thanks for the time we were blessed to share with him. His love will continue to live on in every memory, every lesson he passed on, and in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, and forever remembered.
