

Jean Pizzirusso, born on January 21, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 97. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Jean was married to the late Anthony Pizzirusso for 42 years, and together they built a life filled with love and warmth. She was the devoted mother of Joann Chinappi, Vincent Pizzirusso, the late John Pizzirusso, the late Anthony Pizzirusso, and the late Joseph Pizzirusso. Jean was also a loving mother-in-law to Denise and Emily.
Her family expanded to include grandchildren Raymond Chinappi, Anthony Chinappi, Jessica Pizzirusso, Joseph Pizzirusso, Giovanni Pizzirusso, and the late Gina Pizzirusso. Jean was also a cherished great-grandmother to Anthony Chinappi, Jake Chinappi, and Logan Chinappi.
In addition to her role as a loving family matriarch, Jean was a sister to Theresa, Nick, Frank, and Camille. She was the proud owner of Babylon Riding Center, where her passion for horses and dedication to her community shone through.
Jean will be remembered as a wonderful woman who always took the time to help those around her. Her strength and kindness touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt by friends and family alike. Jean Pizzirusso's memory will be cherished far beyond words, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. May she rest in peace.
A visitation for Jean will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:15 AM at SS Cyril and Methodius RC Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd, Deer Park, New York 11729. An interment will occur Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 12:30 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
