John Lawrie Piccirillo, 81, passed away on October 19, 2026. A proud United States Marine veteran, John dedicated much of his life to serving others. His commitment to his fellow veterans continued long after his military service, as he volunteered with military organizations, driving blind veterans to appointments and activities and helping them maintain their independence.
In his younger years, John enjoyed playing golf and throughout his life had a deep appreciation for music, especially the lively sounds of Louis Prima. He and his beloved wife, Theresa, shared a love of travel and treasured the memories they made exploring the Greek Islands, Spain, Portugal, and Peru. Above all, John cherished his family and the time spent with those he loved. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Prince, who brought him great companionship and joy.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Theresa, and his children, Johnny Jr. (Jonathan), Anthony (Kerry), Lisa Meehan (Thomas), and James Bahamonde (Jenny). He was a beloved grandfather to four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and happiness.
John will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his continued service to fellow veterans, his love of family, and the many wonderful memories he created throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of service, devotion, and love will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
