Joseph, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, and cherished memories. He shared 61 memorable years of marriage with his wife Gail. Together they built a beautiful family, raising four children and later welcoming seven grandchildren into their lives.
Joseph had a deep passion for woodworking and photography and later in life took up boating and fishing in his spare time. His hands were always busy building, crafting, and capturing the beauty he saw around him. He had a special love for sunsets, often found behind the lens, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to preserve the sky’s quiet brilliance.
Among his family's fondest memories are the road trips they took together, especially those heading upstate. Those adventures were filled with friendship and family, and a sense of togetherness that remains with them to this day.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Gail, their four children: Jeannie (Jim) Wright, Liz Lenox, Joe( Felicia) Lenox, Jim (Courtney) Lenox ; and seven grandchildren: Shannon, Katie, Sean, Alex, Jolie, Dakota, and Aiden. He is also remembered with love by extended family members and many dear friends.
He will be remembered for his big personality, his holiday chef duties, his creativity, and the love he poured into every aspect of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Claude R. Boyd/Spencer Funeral Homes, located at 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. The service is scheduled for June 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
