Joseph Lawrence Toscano of Deer Park, N.Y., passed away on January 4, 2018. Friends may visit at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main St., Babylon, N.Y., Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, at 11:15 a.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Deer Park, N.Y. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
Born Giuseppe Lorenzo Toscano on April 13, 1930, Mr. Toscano was the son of the late Alfredo and Emilia Toscano (née Romeo). In 1953, he married his beloved wife of 64 years, Gloria Alfieri, who survives him. Mr. Toscano is also survived by his three loving children, Joseph (Karen), Judy (Mario), and Joanne (Richard); eight cherished grandchildren, James (Courtney), Christopher, Joseph, Lauren (James), Michael, Lea, Ryan, and Justine; and four adored great-grandchildren, Sofia, Arianna, Andrea and Chiara. His two brothers, Bruno and Albert, also survive him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
