Katina Evans (nee Syrakis), 97, of West Islip, entered into Eternal Life on January 2, 2023. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, in 1994. Devoted mother of Fr. Peter Syrakis (Greek Orthodox Monastic), Patrice, Daphne, Anthea, Anita, and Peter. Dear mother-in-law of Michael, Anthony, Artie, and Jacqueline.
Adored Yia Yia of Christine, Tommy, Anthony Jr., Christopher, Stephanie, Jennifer, Nicole, P.J., and Anastacia. Cherished great-grandmother of Brandon, John, Ryan, Thomas, Jacob, Gage, Ava, Tony, Jillian, Olivia and Robert. Katina will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Sunday, January 8, 2023, 2-4:30 pm & 7-9:30 pm. Funeral service 10 am Monday, January 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
