Lia Contrino (nee Palumbo), 95, of Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Contrino. Devoted mother of Leo Contrino, Assuntina "Sue" Stengren, and the late Salvatore Contrino. Adored grandmother of Thomas Stengren, Lia Stengren, Sal Contrino, and Melina Contrino. Dear sister of Pasquale Palumbo and the late Joseph Palumbo. Born in Sicily, Lia emigrated with her family to the United States in 1968. The matriarch of her family, everyone received their love and concern as they sat around her table, surrounded by the delicacies she brought with her from her native Palermo. Lia will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W.
