Loredana DeMarco Marchisotta

Loredana DeMarco Marchisotta, 80, formerly of West Babylon and East New York, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 80. The only child of the late Matteo and Giuliana (Robiglio) DeMarco, she was born Loredana Maria Rosa Claudia DeMarco on May 1, 1946, in Genova, Italy. Along with her parents, Loredana came to the United States at the age of 21, and they settled in Queens, New York. In 1970, Loredana married her loving husband, John Marchisotta, and the couple lived in East New York, where they welcomed the birth of their first child, John Marchisotta, Jr. Fifteen years later, the Marchisotta's moved to West Babylon, where they were blessed with the birth of their second child, Meaghen Rose. Loredana loved her family and their home was the epicenter for family parties and gatherings for decades. Although she had no siblings, Loredana quickly gained a large loving family after marrying her husband, John.

Loredana loved to cook authentic Italian meals from her hometown in Northern Italy and would often experiment with dishes from around the world. She was an amazing and adventurous chef and was known for her homemade ravioli, tortellini, pansotti, focaccia, pesto, tiramisu, arancini, bolognese, minestrone Genovese, to name a few. She also loved the summer, because that meant she could host large family gatherings and parties in the backyard. Loredana was cherished as the best hostess of memorable family events and was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family. Loredana was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, John Sr., on September 11, 2024, and found eternal peace on September 19, 2026, when she was reunited with her loving husband and her parents.

Loredana is survived by her two children, John Marchisotta Jr (Stephanie) & Meaghen Rose Taylor (Brian) and her four grandchildren, John Matthew III, Joseph Nicholas, & Sophia Rose Marchisotta and Christian Giovanni Taylor. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched.

The Marchisotta family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 2:00 pm-4:30 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass 10:30 am Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Ave, West Islip.
