Lorraine Melnick

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Lorraine May Melnick (nee Hartmann) on Sunday, March 21st 2021 at the age of 93. She was the widow of Michael Melnick; they shared the love of salt water and fishing for nearly 60 years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Ella (Boberg) Hartmann. Lorraine enjoyed boating, sewing, and always inquisitive, embraced the changing world.

Lorraine was a caring and thoughtful neighbor, friend, and mother. She found the most joy being with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (late husband Robert) and Laura-Lei (Sean); Son, Mitchell (Ann); grandchilden, Sarah (Michael), Alexis (Brian), Sean (Kaceydale), and Dana; great-grandchildren; Isabella, Nathan, Cole, Chase, and Dani Grace.

She will loving be remembered for her friendliness, fairness, tolerance, and sharing her knowledge of family history. Her fun loving, happy heart, enthusiastic personality, sense of humor, and wittiness were evident in everything she did, especially while on her Ipad and her creative use of bit emojis. LOL!
