Louisa J. Morvillo (nee DiVirgilio), 88, of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, formerly of Lindenhurst and Astoria, Queens, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, August 7, 2026. Louisa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pasquale Morvillo, Sr., who passed in 1998. She was the devoted mother of Marialana (Morvillo) Pettit and Pasquale Morvillo, Jr. She was a loving mother-in-law to Ken Pettit and Lisa Morvillo, as well as adored grandmother of Evan Morvillo and Ally Morvillo. She was also predeceased by her parents, John and Maria (DiPompo) DiVirgilio and, as the youngest of six children, all of her siblings, Elizabeth, Virginia, Filomena, Joseph, and Ida. In addition to being a loving mother, prior to her retirement Louisa was a cafeteria aide in the Daniel Street and West Gates elementary schools in the Lindenhurst School District. She enjoyed working with small children, and was rewarded with their love and the gratification she felt in knowing that she made a positive impact in their lives. Louisa loved refinishing furniture, creating flower arrangements, crafting, ceramics, and cooking and baking for large Italian family gatherings. Louisa was also a member of the Columbiettes of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the Moose Lodge. She loved surrounding herself with the sounds of Jimmy Roselli, a Neopolitan Italian singer of her time, and the 1950's music of her youth. She loved music, and she loved to dance. Most of all, Louisa was never as happy as when she was surrounded by her family. Her husband, Pasquale, was the love of her life, and his passing at an early age was a heartbreak that she carried courageously. Following his passing, she continued to face the world with a smile on her face and always turned out in impeccable style, with her beautiful clothes, coordinating jewelry and, of course, styled hair. Louisa will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Thursday, August 13, 2026, 2:00 pm-4:30 pm & 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Funeral mass 10:00 am Friday, August 14, 2026, Our Lady of Grace RC Church, 666 Albin Avenue, West Babylon. Entombment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park & Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale. Remembrances and messages of condolence can be left for the family on our website: www.boyd-spencer.com.
