Margaret A. Alvino Boix

Margaret Ann Alvino Boix, a resident of Massapequa, died on Saturday June 30, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous fight against Leukemia.

Margaret was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 25, 1937, to Elizabeth and Joseph Guerin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, James R. Boix; her beloved children, Karen Albrecht, Tammy Alvino Przybyski and Thomas Alvino and their spouses Philip, Patrick and Kim; her loving brother Richard Guerin of Brooklyn, NY and adored grandmother to Charles, Margaret, Hudson, Thomas and Anthony and Stepgrandmother of Thomas Albrecht. Loving Stepmother to Kevin Boix, Penni Oullette, Robin Spanier and Jamie Boix.

Margaraet was the light of her family's life! She was known for her poetry and beautiful paintings. She remained close to her dearest friends from her childhood living on Warren Place in Brooklyn NY. She was a devoted Irish Catholic and loved by all.

Visitation will be at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main St., Babylon, NY on Sunday, July 1st from 7:00pm to 9:30pm and Monday, July 2nd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:30pm.

Mass will be at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, 2 Bayview Ave., Massapequa, NY at 10:00am Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Interment Amityville Cemetery.
