

in the Bronx, NY. He entered Glory 12/31/17 after a long battle with early onset Alzheimers disease. He resided in Melville for many healthy years, worked at the USPS, until his illness forced him to be disabled.
Matthew was the beloved son of the both departed Mary and Ronald Hamilton of Westbury, NY. He leaves behind his brothers Ronald of Long Beach, Brian and his wife Liz of Lindenhurst and Kelly of Hicksville.
He will be ever loved by the whole family which includes nieces Christie, and her husband Dustin Martinson and sons Noah and Seth of Colorado Springs, CO, Brittany and Bethany Hamilton of Lindenhurst.
His nephews also will forever miss him. They are Andrew Hamilton of Huntington, NY, Lucas Hamilton of Long Beach, NY and Shawn Lacey of Vacaville, CA.
Matthew had a loving partner, the deceased RN Meryl Cooper. He loved traveling with her and it was she who helped get Matthew diagnosed.
Matthew loved music and was a guitar, bass player and drummer.
He loved tennis. He enjoyed gaming. Owning sports cars, too. But mostly,
Matt liked getting bargains.
He had many friends from WS Tresper Clark HS in Westbury, a few lifelong.
We would like to extend our sincere heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful supportive people.
The angels who cheerfully assisted him at the Brookside Nursing Home, Pam, Joseph, Carmen and staff.
And at the Good Shepherd Hospice, Marie and the entire staff, an extra special appreciation to their dedication and friendship.
