Maureen Hesse

Maureen Hesse, 90, of West Babylon, passed away on October 12, 2025. She was born Maureen Margaret Milligan in Jamaica, New York, on May 11, 1935, to the late James Milligan and Marion Hayden Milligan. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodore Hesse, in 2008. Devoted life-partner of Mike Galante. Cherished sister of Michael Milligan and his late wife, Nancy, and the late James Milligan and his late wife, Kathy. Loving stepmother of Karen Flatow and her husband, Dr. Evan Flatow, and the late Robert Hesse, and his wife, Sande Hesse. Dear grandmother of Virginia, Sean, David, Erinn, Elinn, and Theodore, and great-grandmother to many. Also survived by her adoring nephews, Kevin, James, John, and James and niece, Katie, and great-aunt to Ryan, Maggie, and Teddy. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Sunday, October 19, 2025, 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Monday, October 20, 2025, St. Joseph's RC Church, 39 N. Carll Ave., Babylon. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery.
