Nina R. Messina

Nina Rose Messina of Lindenhurst on July 4, 2017, Aged 54 years. Cherished wife of 31 years of Robert Vincent Messina. Devoted mother of Alyse Anne Messina and the late Robert Vincent Messina II. Adored daughter of Francesca and the late Salvatore Esernio. Loving sister of Julianne Caliendo, Philip Esernio, and Phyllis Mendo. Also survived by her loving pets Bradin Elliot and Olivia Zelda and loved by her deceased pets Casey, Ranger, Jamie, Delilah, Ivy, Avery, Bobo, Nubs, Tweety, and Sylvester. Nina will best be remembered for her cooking, puzzles, reading, spending time with her family playing games, and watching the New York Rangers. She was a wonderful listener, great at giving advice, and never quick to judge. She had a big heart, but her loving soul was even bigger. She was our best friend and our light. No memory of her will ever be forgotten. Friends may visit at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main St., Babylon, NY on Friday 2-4:30pm and 7-9:30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 9:00 am at Our Lady of Grace RC Church. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
