Patricia A. Wissing

Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Harold Wissing. She was the loving mother of Robert Wissing (Dianne), Deborah Yalango (the late Daniel), Gerard Wissing (Laura), John Wissing (Patti), James Wissing, Jeanine Wissing, and the late Carolyn. She was the cherished Granny of Kara, Jack, Daniel, Lauren, Gerard Jr., Dane, Collin, Elyse, Brian, Kiera, Beth, and Mason, and devoted Gigi to Madison, Cameron, Ella, Austin, and Jaxson. She was also the dear sister and best friend of Eileen “Boonie” Costello (the late Tim).

Patricia was a proud American whose devotion to the United States was evident throughout her life. She loved to laugh, dance, and spend time listening to her sons play music. Playful, fun-loving, and sweet, Patricia treasured her friends and family above all else. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was known as the head chef of the family, preparing meals with such love that they always tasted extraordinary. Patricia also loved traveling with her husband Harold, especially their cherished trips to Aruba.

For more than twenty years, Patricia faithfully volunteered every Thursday at the Mercy Inn Soup Kitchen in Wyandanch, where she touched countless lives through her kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 2:00–4:30 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church. Private cremation will follow.
