Paul and Linda have been in our lives since forever--and I was 16 when I learned we weren't cousins !! We will miss him so very much but he truly is a life well lived--a long, happy, loving marriage to Linda, beautiful loving kids and grandkids and an army of friends.
To know him was to love him and Linda--big hearts, fantastic hospitality and always happy to be surrounded by friends and family. And a story teller like no other--my favorite was when he told the story about letting his favorite deer into the house hoping he could feed the deer without Linda finding out. Ken also just hit if off with Paul from the first meeting and Ken loved his visits. Prayers out to all the family! Sue and Ken

I knew Paul for many years. More than 60 years. His humor was special. He called me Mooch, why I don’t know. And when Paul and Carl were together, it was Laurel and Hardy. You will never be forgotten. God Bless

Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.
I’ve know Paul for probably 20 years, and I’ve always said that he and Linda were my adopted parents. I’m honored to have know him and to have spent time hanging out on the beach with him and Linda.
I will truly miss Paul, his stories and him telling me, “Don’t let my Italian come out, or else there will be trouble.” Until we meet again.

One of my recent memories of Paul was Summer 2019, coming off the fire island ferry—he just happened to be passing by on his go-cart. I yelled for him & he stopped n told us hop on— we barely fit with my hula hoop & bags, but he gave us a great recommendation for lobster special and invited us over for “happy hour”!! We ate our lunch and walked over to meet him and Linda where they showed us pictures of them when they were young & told us stories from when they first got together... I was so happy to show my friend Gina their home n tell stories of how I spent every Fourth of July with them and the Gugliuzzo family... he was a grampa to all us kiddos & always made me feel welcomed & loved. I will always appreciate the memories made at Shella Luna!

Paul was an absolute legend. Our favorite memories are visiting him at Ocean Beach. He and Linda always made sure we felt at home, even when my husband met them for the first time. We loved sitting at his table and being an audience to those stories of his...from wearing a skirt to work to making friends with the local deer...he'd have us crying laughing. He had a way about him that made everyone feel like they were family (even the deer!)...To this day, he is still the only man I know who could get my dad on a bike.
We are forever thankful for the times we got to spend with him and our prayers go out to Linda and the entire Gugliuzzo family.

Paul and I have been friends over 55 years. Our families enjoyed doing many things together such as camping at Camp Ernest, picnics to Belmont Lake and sharing a lake house in Maine. Paul and I spent many days fishing together with a lot of humorous moments. By the way, Paul, check out some good fishing spots for us up there. Trips together include Altoona and Colorado. In Colorado a trip to Cripple Creek resulted in a BIG jackpot! One fishing trip I recall on Paul's boat overnight by Captree Island. In the morning heading back in a heavy fog, I was on the bow of the boat when Paul asked, "What do you see?" I said, "Seagulls" He said, "What are they doing?" I said, "Standing" - as we ran aground.
Even though we lived apart for 40 years, we managed to stay in touch through visits and phone calls. That's friendship!

I met paul about in 1967 while working. We became friends working and socializing for the next 50 years. I remember he had such humor. While riding the subway I would say to someone who got on would you like a seat and then I'd say Paul get up give the lady seat we laughed for years. Playing cards on lirr with Jerry. The 3 of us. Many memories. If you were Paul's friend, he'd give you the shirt off his back . As families we had great times over the years. We will miss him and his humor. I know I will. . Love Chuck.

Mr. Gugliuzzo made me feel as though I was a part of his family. That’s the kind of man he was! I spent many summer days at his home on Fire Island. One day, my mom came out and we stayed for a big Gugliuzzo dinner! Not only was the food delicious, but the people we broke bread with were genuinely good people. We both felt so welcomed by the entire family, especially Mr. Gugliuzzo! I never felt as though I overstayed my welcome. He was funny and made me feel as though I knew him all my life. The love he shared with his wife was apparent and his four children were all so welcoming and fun to be around! You could see they had a great dad! I had the privilege to see him interact not only with his wife and children, but his grandchildren as well!!! It was easy to see such a wonderful family came from having a wonderful patriarch leading the way!!! Rest In Peace Mr. Gugliuzzo! Thank you for the memories! I know you continue to watch over your family!

My best memories with Paul is just sitting with him at the table in his dining room on Fire Island while he would tell me about all the old school music situations that were going on during his prime and how the cops used to treat people but the music is what drove people to stand their ground and progression eventually came about. This was all over table wine of course. He had a big heart for music. Another fond memory was borrowing his raincoat on a super stormy night after work, it helped me get back home when I needed to get back direly. Also dinner was unreal at his place, we had steak, potatoes and table wine with some veggies it was so unreal. The bread and butter was always so delicious. Cooking burgers outside and drinking beers with the family during the summer under the bright sun was so so amazing. I liked coming back and seeing him watching svu too he’d always be crushing it. Paul watching the game shows always gave me good laughs as well, never seen so much enthusiasm for those types of shows haha. Guys a legend.

Al and I are so sorry to hear about Paul. We have so many great memories of that time 40+ years ago that Linda babysat for our son, Christopher. Both Paul and Linda showered him with love, treating him like one of the family. As I recall, Chris thought Paul was so funny! Recently, in going through old photos, we found pictures of all of us celebrating Christmas. Such happy times!
We know that the last six months have been such a difficult time for your family. But we also know the love and strength of your family ties. We will remember
Paul with his big smile and a big heart to match. Our sincerest condolences on your loss. Please know that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers. xxxooo, Al and Kathy
