I was lucky enough to Have Mr Mankoff as my 6th Grade Teacher at Connetquot Elementary School. I had him his last year of teaching.  What a wonderful man. He connected with all of us, he related to us and made each of us feel special in our own way. His methods of teaching included Match Box City, weekly breakfasts cooked in class, Competitions to remember All 50 states and their capitals, book report chains around the classroom and the infamous CHART. What an amazing teacher. I was also lucky enough to connect with him as an adult. And even all those years later, he still remembered all of us that were in that last class. RIP Mr Mankoff, they do not make them like you anymore. You were one of a kind. Thank you 

So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Mankoff.  He was my 4th grade teacher at Islip Terrace Elementary School. .......he replaced my other teacher who became sick. I have such awesome memories of him.  You just could tell he loved teaching! May he R.I.P. 💙🙏💙
