Robert V. Messina

Robert Vincent Messina, 61, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Smithtown New York. Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 17, 1963, Robert was known for his unwavering love and compassion towards those close to him. Family was the cornerstone of Robert's life. In 1986, he married his best friend and love, the late Nina R. Messina, and in that same year they joyfully welcomed their beloved daughter Alyse Anne. Unfortunately, they lost their son, Robert Vincent II at birth, however, they always believed he was their Guardian Angel. Devoted completely to his family, Robert met life’s challenges with courage, notably overcoming the amputation of his right leg and learning to walk again with determination and grace. He embraced life with laughter and good humor, while carrying a passion for the fantasy world of Middle Earth and all things Tolkein. He is survived by his daughter, Alyse, who will continue to carry that passion, humor, and love on for both her Father, Mother, and Brother. Always remember the goodness and laughter that Robert brought to your life instead of the sadness that you feel now. A visitation will take place for Robert at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Thursday, June 26, 2025, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Friday, June 27, 2025, Our Lady of Grace RC Church, West Babylon. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
