I met Bobby when I was 26 years old, he was 27.  We dated briefly and always had a phenomenal time.  He was smart, kind, sweet, witty and he a great sense of humor.  Over the years, we lost track, but I always remembered him.  
Last year I found him on Facebook, but I was too shy to reach out to him.  It looks like he was very successful in his life and even had two lovely children.
I pray that he didn't suffer before he died.  He didn't deserve that.  
I'm writing this with a heavy heart to a man that gave me joy 37 years ago.  I'll always remember him.
I pray his family finds peace in his death.  What a wonderful man to die at just 65 years old.  May he rest in peace.

Growing up next door to Robert was nothing short of boring.  Rob created fun games like running bases and cellar entrance  bringing laughter to all of the neighborhood kids.  As we got older and got into rock music (among other things) he was the one that turned me on to Bruce Springsteen. Robert would say ‘how can you not like this man!’ and turn up the volume to nth decibels while playing Born to Run. It’s no wonder I still have my hearing intact.  His quick wit, infectious smile and creativity continued into adult life bringing the same laughter to all those who knew him.  We will forever cherish those fun and crazy times.  My last wonderful memory of Robert is out on the dance floor at Cedar beach dancing carefree and having fun; Exactly where he wanted to be   - freeeeeeeeeee.  


Dear Bob...
As Louis & Emma’s grandchildren; we spent many Sunday’s at the senior Morga’s kitchen table feasting on polenta, pasta, meatballs & sausage. We always had playmates to share pedal cars and scooters to run up and down the long driveway. Sweet memories!

Your Dad was my Godfather. Our families spent a lot of happy times together. I remember fun sleepovers at your house, pool parties to beat the summer heat, and catching tiny frogs at that old house next door to you.

When we were “legal”; we had some wild times at your house in Amityville. Enough said about that!

You will be missed. It’s sad God called you home too soon. There was still much to do here on Earth. May you rest eternally in the love and compassion of Jesus’ arms. See you when I see you. 😘

Bob came into my life at a very difficult time.....he brought me such joy! We shared sunny weekends in Fire Island and cozy nights in the Poconos....I miss him dearly....

I remember all the good times growing up with my cousins , especially at Roberts house with my cousin Ellen and Linda ( Robert sisters). 
He created my new nickname Mamalou and Babbalou. 
Lots of laughs and pranks from him. 
Till we meet again.
Give my brother John a great big hug and kiss from me, especially to my dad ( Uncle John).

Was good to see that there are other folks from North Babylon who will miss Bobby too. I remember Bobby and Steven Nokutis driving around in a yellow convertible when I was a kid.  I got to know Bobby years later and always recall that he was enjoying life to the fullest.

It’s been quite a few years since we last partied.  I have and will always have great memories of the good times and the laughs....the “Cabana”, the parties, the clubs, the card games, the Florida Keys trip and, of course, the “Titanic” of the Great South Bay.......The S.S. Seaweed.
The trip isn’t over, it’s just a different destination.

Bob was part of a group of six friends from North Babylon that goes back fifty years!        We were always close and there for each other in thick or thin, we considered ourselves                 “ brothers from different mothers” and we remain that way today! We so sadly as everyone else mourn  the loss of our “ longtime friend and brother; Bob and we pray that he is pain free now and found peace with his loved ones who passed before him! 🙏🙏🙏

This was sent Saturday night to Robert.  Sunday morning, I received word that he passed 


Hi Robert
Just got off the phone with Linda.
My plan is to come into the city tomorrow with Linda to see you.
I’m not sure if your body wants to wait that long.
So I want to text you what I would say to you tomorrow in case your soul decides to 
Leave this earth before then.
We are all going to leave this earth, some earlier than others.  My hope, and I do hang on to this, is to meet up in the afterlife.  I know your mom and my mother will be waiting to greet you with open arms.
You will not have pain anymore and you will be able to watch everyone , knowing that you will see your children and possibly grandchildren one day.
You were a really fun cousin, Robert, I hope you know that.
I grew up in your house and have great memories.  Your mom was my favorite aunt.  I remember very well you , Ralph and rick coming and going,  
You always had fun games to play with your cousins.  Always thinking of what we can do to just laugh and have a good time.
You treated me and Linda so well when we went to see you in D.C.
Just remember, your body was a rental, and it treated you well for 65 years.  Now it’s broken and your soul needs to leave.
Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow, if not, until we meet again my crazy cousin Robert 🙏😘
