Robert Szuflada

Robert was the devoted and loving husband of Donna Szuflada. He was the beloved father of LeeAnn, Robert Jr., and Erin Lutgens and her husband Richard. He was the cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Richard Jr., Joseph, Natalee, and Stephen, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Anna Szuflada, and his devoted brother, Michael Szuflada. Robert was predeceased by his father, John Szuflada; his brother, John Szuflada; and his sisters, Carol Straley and Terry Szuflada.

Robert was a hardworking man who spent part of his life as a clammer, a profession that reflected his lifelong love of the ocean, boats, and life on the water. He found happiness in simple pleasures — riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and listening to the music of Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher, whose music he especially admired.

Above all else, Robert treasured his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially cheering them on at their sports games and celebrating their accomplishments. He will be remembered for his love, loyalty, sense of humor, and the strength of the bond he shared with those closest to him.

Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
