

Rose was married to her beloved husband, Wilkes Furman, for 31 years before his passing. Together they raised four children, and she was a constant source of love, strength, and grace for her family. Rose is survived by her children: Nancy (Carl) Adams, Elizabeth (Gary- who predeceased Rose) Hughes, Paul( Alicia) Furman, Thomas (Sandi) Furman; grandchildren: Kathryn ( Justin), Isabella, Paige, Pamela, Natalie, and Tate; and her sister: Arelene Farrell; and many nieces and nephews. All of whom were blessed by her unwavering devotion and warm, generous spirit.
A devout Catholic, Rose dedicated much of her life to the service of her faith community at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Melville. Over the years, she served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister, Catechist, receptionist, and secretary. She was also a proud and active member of the Rosary Society, embodying a life of prayer, service, and compassion.
Rose’s kindness, humility, and strong faith touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her deep devotion to her family and church, and her generous heart.

A visitation will be held at Claude R. Boyd/Spencer Funeral Homes, located at 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, 11702, on July 31, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
The funeral mass will take place at St. Elizabeth's Church, 175 Wolf Hill Rd, Huntington Station, NY, 11746, on August 1, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
The committal will be held at St Patrick's Cemetery, Huntington Rd, Cold Spring Harbor, NY, 11724, on August 1, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
