Ruthann E. Griffin, 72, of Valley Stream, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer stemming from her official deployment with the NYPD supporting the rescue and recovery operations at Ground Zero. Ruthann demonstrated determination, grace, incredible courage, and inspiration to everyone who knew her. Predeceased by her beloved parents, Leo and Patricia (Burnbrier) Griffin, she is survived by her dear sister, Patricia Griffin, and a large family of friends and NYPD family. A visitation will take place for Ruthann at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Sunday, June 15, 2025, 3:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral service 11:00 AM Monday, June 16, 2025, with entombment to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, East Farmingdale, NY.
