Stephen was the cherished son of Vincent and AnneMarie Palmer, and a loving brother to Meghan(Mark) and Michael(Nicole). His role as “Uncle Stephen” was one he held closest to his heart—he was adored by his nephews and niece, Luke, Hudson, and Scarlett, who learned to draw under his patient and joyful guidance. He was, in every sense, the world's best uncle.
A prolific and passionate artist, Stephen filled the lives of those around him with creativity and beauty. Whether he was sketching in his studio, gardening alongside his father Vincent, or hiking the trails of Bear Mountain, he embraced the simple, meaningful moments of life with love and wonder.
Stephen is also survived by his loving godmother Susan Healy, his grandmother Ellen Downing, and many devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Maurice Downing, Orio Palmer, and Agnes Palmer, his uncle Orio Palmer, aunt Deborah, and his godfather Stephen Palmer.
Stephen’s kindness, talent, and deep love for his family will be remembered always.
