Bonnie Faye Simpson

Bonnie Faye (Peterson) Simpson 1947 - 2013 Bonnie Faye Simpson, 66, went home to be with Jesus on March 11. Bonnie was born in Bakersfield, CA to B.W. and Geneva Peterson on March 4, 1947. She graduated from Wasco High School in 1965 and then attended Cal Poly, San Louis Obispo. She married her high school sweet heart, Lloyd Simpson, and they had two children, Derek and Leslie. She loved to read, paint, do arts and crafts and enjoyed family vacations. She was a member of Westside Family Fellowship in Wasco, CA. and worked for the Independent Oil Producers Agency for 18 years. Bonnie was always a very caring and loving woman to be around and spent each day lifting spirits and lending a hand. She will be greatly missed as she rests in peace. She is survived by her mother, Geneva Peterson; her sister, Sandra Soles; her husband, Lloyd Simpson; their two children: Derek Simpson Sr., and Leslie Thompson, and their spouses: Melissa Simpson and Bobby Thompson; five grandchildren: Karlee, Derek Jr., and Dustin Simpson, and Kyrstee and Kaden Thompson; one great-grandchild, Lexington Shields, and many other family and close friends. The memorial and graveside service will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Boulevard, on Tuesday, March 19 at 1:15 pm.
