Gerald Jerry W Dozier

"Jerry"

On December 15, 2011, Gerald "Jerry" Dozier went home to be with the Lord. Gerald was a loving husband and father. He always had a song on his lips and a smile to give to you, with those twinkling baby blue eyes.

Gerald was born in Higley Arizaona and a graduate of Gilbert High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from May 1958 to February 1963. He then became a Heavy Equipment Operator working for Guinn Construction with his stepson Michael Shofner. After retiring for Guinn, he worked with his son Jerry Dozier at Bellair Oil Co. a job he loved until he got ill. Jerry and Michael loved to go fishing and camping in the RV at Lake Isabella, which was a delight for Gerald.

Gerald was the son of Chester B. and Laura Beatrice Dozier, his brothers Willie O. Dozier and Carl Dozier preceded him in death. Gerald is survived by his wife of 18 years, Pam Dozier, and his son Jerry Lee and wife Diane Dozier of Bakersfield. Three step sons Michael Shofner of Lake Isabella, Ray and wife Jennifer Isbaell and Lyne and wife Lisa Isbell all of Bakersfield; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by four brothers, Chester Lee and wife Beverly of Texas, Douglas and wife Mary Lou of Bakersfield, Bill Dozier of Bakersfield and Gary and wife Debbie of Wasco, along with other family members all over the country. "Gerald has many family members who will miss him greatly and we all look forward to being with him again on that faithful day.
